I do not know her or her family personally, but I do know that she gave birth to a great sportscaster/newscaster who respects her very much. Tonight's Countdown piece dedicated to her literally brought me to tears. Keith Olbermann gave the best tribute, I think, that anyone can give to the person who made him who he is today. As Keith said in the broadcast, she is a lifelong Yankees fan and that clearly passed on to Keith. Marie Olbermann sounds like she was a fantastic lady with a great heart for baseball. May she rest in peace.
